Welcome to Starbase Mojave!
Near the blazing heart of the galaxy, sits the newly completed Starbase Mojave, a brand new Copernicus-class outpost sitting about as far from home as a starbase can get. Sitting at the doorsteps of the Gamma and Delta Quadrants, it’s the closest thing Starfleet has to a frontier town, looking out over two unknown territories.
On these far flung fringes of known space, space itself is an obstacle. Powerful gravitational anomalies fueled by the nearby core, strange impenetrable nebulas, and planets dotted with the ruins of civilizations long turned to dust.
Mojave serves as a mission hub for explorers, a consolate for diplomats, and a safe harbor for traders on this wild edge of space.
Mojave isn't situated on this distant perch by chance, though. It's location is strategic. Assigned to Mojave is the USS Achilles, a refit Protostar-class vessel built for speed and distance. Equipped with one of the only proto-warp drives in the fleet, Achilles extends Mojave's reach far beyond that of a simple outpost, giving it the ability to reach into the four quadrants of the galaxy. With such a wide reach, Mojave can serve as a both an exploratory vanguard and a rapid response force, responding to emergencies and charting new worlds outside the reach of any other post.
If the fringes of space and the call of the frontier appeal to you, saddle up at Starbase Mojave, where the frontier is endless and trouble is always just a days ride away.

Mission: Episode 1: A New Sheriff in Town
Posted on Mon Oct 19th, 2026 @ 4:28pm by Captain Cassandra Hawk & Lieutenant Commander Frederick Kopec & Lieutenant Hank Jacobs M.D. & Lieutenant Elsen Rava
The doors to the captain’s office parted with a soft hiss, opening into the main room of Starbase Mojave’s Operations center. Even with a few weeks of command under her belt, the station still felt fresh and exciting.
Ops was quiet but busy, with a handful of officers moved between consoles. On the central display, the stellar survey of their star system was progressing. A three-dimensional projection of the star system rotated slowly. There were several terrestrial planets, one with a prominent ring system, another a large water world, the debris field of what had once been a third world,…

::ON::
Kopec caught his reflection in a transparisteel viewport that looked out into the inky black. Frowning, he tugged on his beard, attempting to get it to sit right. No matter how many times I comb that cheek ... he grumbled, moving to brush imaginary lint off his uniform shoulder. The man took a deep breath. Held it. Breathed out. Steady as she goes, he reminded himself.
Mojave was huge. He'd taken time on the long voyage over to familiarise himself with the state-of-the-art Copernicus class of Starbase, but it had still been jarring when he arrived on-station. Kopec found…

Mission: Episode 1: A New Sheriff in Town
Posted on Sun Oct 11th, 2026 @ 1:44pm by Lieutenant Hank Jacobs M.D. & Captain Cassandra Hawk
Doctor Jacobs had arrived at Starbase Mojave just a few short days ago and found himself tying up more than a few loose ends left by this predecessor before they became real problems. It seems Doctor Vox exited the base rather quickly which of course was neither here nor there at this point.
After treating a few patients with minor incidents, Hank knew it was time to get to it and have a conversation with Captain Hawk. Tapping his comm badge "Captain Hawk, this is Doctor Hank Jacobs. I'd like to meet....at your convenience of course," came the request.

Elsen caught the edge of the workbench before she knocked over the sample tray. For a second, the science lab seemed to tilt beneath her, though the instruments opposite showed no change in gravity. The sensation passed almost at once. A dull pressure low in her abdomen lingered a little longer, close to where Rava rested. She set the tray down properly and waited until she was sure of her footing.
It was the third time in four days. She’d blamed the first on a missed meal and the second on too little sleep; this morning she’d eaten, slept well…

Mission: Episode 1: A New Sheriff in Town

[ Deck 50]
Doctor Hank Jacobs was working on his first inventory of medical supplies, since he was new to the department he wanted to do the job himself as opposed to one of his subordinates, when he was interrupted.
A young Crewman entered main sick bay looking for some help. Seeing a Doctor nearby he approached “Excuse me Doctor I was wondering if you could help me.”
Turning with his usual smile “Of course Crewman” noticing the rank on his uniform collar “How can I be of service” Hank inquired.
“I think I may have done something to my…
