Mission: Episode 1: A New Sheriff in Town
Location: Sick Bay Star Base Mojave

After checking out a couple of the Runabout support craft, Yesrin decided to take a detour and check in with Sick Bay to see if she could get her boarding physical taken care of; one more thing to check off her to-do list.

Walking into sick bay proper Yesrin stood a moment looking around when she saw a Lieutenant a short ways away "Good Day, you wouldn't by any chance be Doctor Vox would you; I'm in need of a boarding physical since I'm new on Mojave" she inquired with a cheerful smile.

Vox was talking to one of the new nurses onboard and trying to get some stuff done when he heard someone behind him. He turned back and smiled before saying, "Yeah, that would be me. Said you need a boarding physical, correct?"

"Yes Doctor, that's correct; although I must confess it's not one of my favorite things to do" Yesrin replied with a cheeky smile.

"Well, why don't you hop up onto that biobed over there while I grab my tricorder. Shouldn't take more than a bit to get it done," Vox replied as he walked over and got one of the medical tricorders from the workstation inn the middle of Sickbay.

Doing as requested she sat waiting for the Doctor as she inquired "So have you settled in on Mojave Station pretty much?"

Vox started to scan Yesrin as he listened to the question. As he continued, Vox said, "Well, I just got onboard not too long ago. But, thus far, it has been good. Just trying to get Sickbay set up the way that I like. How about yourself?"

"About the same really. I have my quarters settled, which are very nice I might add, and being Chief of Flight Control I've reviewed my piloting staff" then she paused a moment "I did get to see the Achilles up close and personal from the outside and checked out the Arrow Runabouts so far but I still need to check out the rest of the support craft" she replied hoping see wasn't just rambling on "Sorry I tend to talk a lot when I'm in an unfamiliar situation."

Vox waved his hands and said, "Don't worry about it. I know that it can help to relieve stress, especially in new places with new people. I've heard about those new Arrow Class Runabouts. Are they up to our Flight Controller's specs?"

Yesrin sat for a few moments being quite impressed the Doctor knew about anything outside of medical not to mention what types of support craft Mojave had at it's disposal "Actually I've run diagnostics on both of the Arrows and they are above Starfleet specs so I'm very pleased about that" then she paused a moment "Now the Danube II's are another story that I need to get into tomorrow. If you don't mind my inquiring....you must have a sizable medical staff given the size of the station."

Vox thought about it for a moment before replying, "Well, half the staff hasn't even reported in yet. But, I should have enough staff to make sure that anything can be treated within a short amount of time. So many specialties that anyone can come by the station and get treated. Makes me happy to see."

"In my situation staffing is just the opposite. After working on a ship since the Academy, migrating to a Base was a bit of culture shock in that regard" Yesrin replied then continued "On a ship, depending on the size of course, the Chief may have anywhere's from fifteen to thirty pilots covering both Helm and the support craft. Here I have a staff of eight, well nine including myself, to pilot the support craft with my duties being at the Helm on the Achilles when she is needed."

"That's actually quite shocking! But, I guess they think of this as a base with a limited number of craft to fly, they thought we might be able to do with less pilots? But, with such a drastic difference, it begs the question of what happens in a pinch," Vox replied as he put the medical scanner back in his tricorder. Stepping back, he asked Yesrin, "Can you hop down for me and take a few steps forward? I just want to make sure the gravity of the space station hasn't affected anything muscle wise or anything."

"Sure" she replied then hopped off the bio-bed as she proceeded to take a few steps forward. Turning "So is everything looking ok" with a grin knowing she felt fine.

"I just wanted to make sure that there was nothing going on that my scanners might not be able to detect. It looks like you're good to go. Anything else that you might need from me?" Vox asked with a small smile.

Thinking for a brief moment "Not that I can think of off the top of my head" Yesrin commented with a smile "Thank you for helping me check another item off my to-do list and for your time Doctor. I'm sure I'll see you around the Base; have a good rest of your day" then she turned and exited Sick Bay going to her next job.
